EVextend’s website promises tool-free install – well I’m not afraid of tools, I have plenty of them, I’m just skeptical of their claim. In fact, if it makes the installation quicker or more clean-looking I might actually prefer an install that requires tools, if you used any during your install tell me what they are and I’ll buy/borrow my own if I don’t have them already.

12/13/2015 · I bought the EVExtend Kit for my Volt two years ago. It’s been a great backup power supply, not just for emergencies. I use it when ever I’m out and about and need 120 vac for something. Just wish I could charge my Volt with it!! (Not sure how that would work, though!), After hurricane Irma much of Puerto Rico went dark. Without power, there was no internet and all cell services grinded to a halt. Luckily, I was able to eek out enough bandwidth to discover EVExtend .com and immediately realized that my fully charged Leaf sitting in my driveway could easily power my fiber optic and basic necessities.
